LOCAL AUTHORS
Alcott's Attic is committed to supporting local. As part of that commitment, we are happy to promote the works of local authors in Metro Detroit through a list for purchase online. To have your book included, please review the following considerations.

Author must reside in Michigan.

Your book must be professionally bound, finished, and edited.

We will not accept any book that has been published through Amazon or its subsidiaries. (we hope you understand why)

Your book must be available for purchase through bookshop.org. This is the platform we use for online sales.
​Metro Detroit is full of talented creatives and authors. Not every submission will be able to be accepted. We will evaluate your book on salability, professionalism, marketing, and content.
We are not currently carrying physical copies but will be considering consignment for books that sell well online through this program at a later date. You will be contacted directly if your book is chosen.

As an independent & local bookstore, we strive to support local authors and our community. In return, we ask that you support Alcott's Attic by encouraging book buyers (through social media and your website) to purchase books from us or other independent bookstores. If you heavily promote purchasing your book from big chains or online conglomerates, we are unlikely to accept your submission.

If interested, please email christina@alcottsattic.com. Include a brief synopsis, your website address, and a link to your listing on Bookshop.org. Use the subject heading "Local Author Submission." If your book is approved, you will receive a response within a few weeks.
