Host an indie bookstore!

Alcott's Attic is an independent, pop-up bookstore.  We sell a curated selection of books and unique book-themed sidelines.  We are currently looking for

pop-up locations and would love to partner with coffee shops, breweries, and other independent retailers in Metro Detroit.

 

Our setup is non-obtrusive and needs only a 10'x 6' space.  This setup is flexible and can be adjusted larger or smaller based on your space.  Pop-ups run 4-6 hours with a 30-minute setup/takedown.  Your business and event will be promoted on our social media channels.

 

We are happy to discuss what works best for your venue.  We can bring a general selection of books and merchandise, or a collection to fit your clientele.

Book Fair for Adults

Remember the excitement of elementary school book fairs? This is a book fair for adults! Indie Bestsellers, literature-inspired home goods, blind date with a book, and more.

Banned Books

Do you read banned books? Because we do! Everything in this collection has been banned or challenged at one time in history.  This collection also includes banned book accessories, and extras.

Children's Lit

Books and book-related toys! Perfect for early mornings at coffee houses and an additional boost to get customers in the door during family-friendly events.

RECENT EVENTS

We have partnered with local small businesses, publishers, and fellow independent bookstores to provide both in-person and virtual events.

The Detroit Festival of Books is the largest book festival in the state

of Michigan.

TechTown is Detroit's entrepreneurship hub.  This New Center event showcases small businesses of Detroit and

Southeastern Michigan.

Winter wonderland in the heart of Downtown Detroit! Selected as one of 18 small businesses highlighted for the holidays.  Sponsored by Bedrock & The Gilbert Family Foundation.

 

Halloween fun and live music at a craft beer, wine, cocktail, and

coffee bar.

 

A virtual bookclub series reading women leaders in every aspect of life.  Organized by River Dog Books and done in partnership with bookstores across the country. 

This live concert series was a collaborative promotional effort of indie bookstores worldwide. Livestreamed on social media from Scottland's Book Town.
